Just thought I'd flag up this 75 cd set again, which is currently on Amazon France for just 79 euros, an amazing bargain. There are only about two discs in the set which I don't have so don't feel I can justify buying it, but grab it while you can!

Ha ha, strange what the searches bring.

Having wrestled with this bargain in my mind all night, I've finally bitten the bullet and succumbed! It's far too astonishing a low price to ignore, just a little over a euro a disc!

... you won't regret it, Micky, you really won't. Despite many duplicates I succumbed early (nudged by an understanding partner - and a useful Premium Bond win).

I went thro' it methodically, an opportunity to listen again to the discs I already had - immensely rewarding.

Now this here Trevor Pinnock box - come on NS&I, surely a £200 Premium Bond win is overdue...

Thank you for the support, Vints, I know what a kindred spirit you are! Actually, I think I may have been missing about five or six discs. What appealed to me was the fact that the original jacket designs have been used, something that was lacking in previous releases when I was doing a mopping up operation.
As you say, nice to have them together and rediscover them all.

The Pinnock box is beautifully done by the look of it. But all those Mozart and Haydn symphonies are not really necessary for me as I'm already very happy with the Hogwood cycles. One French commentator said it was a pity that Pinnock's solo harpsichord discs weren't included, but I guess there are such a quantity of them to merit another Archiv box to themselves.

Best of luck with the Bonds, I've had some pleasant small wins of late, which is always a nice surprise.
