    Thank you Pegleg

Here is an early music performance (not sure if this can be called a concert)
Misa de Notre Dame de Guillaume de Machaut, cantada por el Ensemble Gilles Binchois, bajo la dirección de Dominique Vellard.

Machaut - Messe de Notre Dame

Two recent productions of Alcina (I have posted these elsewhere awhile ago)
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

…and this is Tamerlano by the same production team as the second Alcina above.

Many thanks for the additional llinks, DS.

Guillaume de Machaut - I'm not sure I've ever listened to this composer before, or "Ensemble Gilles Binchois". It's playing now, beautiful acoustic in the abbey.

I listened to the Aix-en-Provence Alcina production via the http://www.francemusique.fr/ webiste. Call me old-fashioned, but I find many to the modern settings of Handel operas far too distracting. The http://www.lamonnaie.be website is new to me, and that production of Alcina looks easy on the eye.

I meant to watch the Tamerlano sometime ago, but lost track of it, so I appreciate the reminder. There is this audio only alternative: https://youtu.be/QmQL5j4u-EM

Have you seen this? Haendel: Alcina (Live from the Vienna State Opera), part 1 - https://youtu.be/-VdHwrLgjxI

Call us old fashioned. It’s not just Handel but French Baroque operas are the same. Dancing in underpants and a slaughter house? Here is the same work set in as HIPP as a modern staging can be. Phardre and Theseus sung by the same performers makes the point (to me).

          Hippolyte et Aricie
Here are the details. I don’t think this video will be here very long. This is the third one on youtube in the last couple of years.
Rameau: Hippolyte et Aricie. Erato: 2564622917. Buy 2 DVD Videos online. Topi Lehtipuu (Hippolyte), Anne-Catherine Gillet (Aricie), Stéphane Degout (Thésée), Sarah Connolly (Phèdre), Jaël Azzaretti (L'Amour), Salomé Haller (Oenone), Marc Mauillon (Tisiphone / La Grande Prêtresse de Diane) Le Concert d’Astrée, Emmanuelle Haïm, Ivan Alexandre

This is not exactly HIPP in the same sense but there is nothing whatsoever about the modern relevance nonsense. I think the performance/production is superb.

Atys with double subs Fr-Eng; William Christie conducts.

…and here is Stéphanie d'Oustrac’s solo recital

          …the track list.

Ferveur & Extase. Ambronay: AMY027. Buy download online. Stéphanie d'Oustrac (mezzo) & Violaine Cochard (harpsichord, direction) Amarillis

There may be better performances of these works on CDs but I think these are lovely performances to watch.

I watched a bit of the Vienna State Opera Alcina. I’m afraid I wasn’t too impressed. This Ruggiero looks (and even sounds to me) like a peasant youth in his Sunday best who was picked up by a (yet another) rich, bored woman. The La Monnaie production is, to me, perfect..

I'm in the same camp as you re: French Baroque operas. Hopefully you will find this production of Dardanus to your liking:

I have the seen the last three on your list, but now my viewing choices have increased thanks to your recommendations.

I'm not surprised you didn't like the Vienna State Opera Alcina. I had only watched 30mins out of curiosity, and that was enough. Glad to know it wasn't just me who thought this production was somewhat off the mark.

If your have a spare hour, I think these are worth watching:

            http://concert.arte.tv/fr/jordi-sava...-de-versailles - 20mins

Georg Friedrich Händel - Jubilate Deo / O be joyful (HWV 279)

Finishes with a chorus you just want to be part of.

            http://concert.arte.tv/fr/philippe-j...-au-chateau-de - 40 mins

            Philippe Jaroussky
            Nathalie Stutzmann
            Orfeo 55
            Château de Fontainebleau

Both take place in an underpants free zone, but there's plenty of musical drama.
