What a marvellous concert! Greatly enjoyed by my wife, the cat and yours truly

made a lovely start to the day. My cats were out, but it was enjoyed very much by all the other residents.

Excellent concert.
One comment: this is a completely instrumental concert with a not too wide a possibillity of colouring.
It is here that figueras' voice is IMO so deeply missed: it would have been an unforgettable concert with e.g. the Lamento di Tristano replaced by some of the Pays d'Oc troubadours' songs, or some anonymous Planctus - what wouldn't it be a coup Catherine Bott singing those here.

Hi Beef....this is the Alia Vox website, which Savall set up himself to produce all his recordings...it also bought up many of his older recordings for Astrée and repackaged them, and some of those are really great too.
