Many thanks. One of the best ensembles in this repertoire.

Definitely...their CDs for Harmonia Mundi are sublime. My particular favourite is their disc of works by John Sheppard, 'Media Vita'...it is one of the most beautiful choral discs I have ever heard.

Look forward to it too...but wish it were from a big church somewhere, not the Wiggers, prestigious venue though it be.

          That resonates with me too.

Such as St John's Smith Square, largely now abandoned for concerts like this - though some of these singers were there with the Brabant Ensemble not long ago.

Oh yes... I loaded that album plus 'Phoenix Rising' and 'Music for Compline' (both of which also contain some wonderful Sheppard) into the car music system and it was playing during a drive around the environs of the Mont St Michel the other weekend - below being a small version of one of the views I snapped with Stile Antico singing...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
              Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

                  7.30 tonight.

The real thing. No nonsense of linking between old and new with **** saxophone or any other gimmick. The music itself is the perfect link.
