I very much enjoyed the first of these programmes from Ian Nairn as part of BBC Four's architectural season. I seem to have missed it when broadcast but have caught up with it on iplayer:
I like his approach, generally trying to find the good and the interesting in buildings and other man-made features on his journey and even when criticising trying to be constructive and always trying to put what he is describing in the context of its place within its environment. Interesting for some too to see parts of Stockport as it was 40 odd years ago. [Was that a theremin in the first piece of musical accompaniment?]
I look forward to catching up with the other episodes in this archive collection.
