Did anyone see Hugh F-W's programme about Scandi cooking? He gave a lovely recipe for red herrings ......

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I spent a little time working in Denmark. There was a herring dish of some sort or another every day on the menu in the office cafeteria.

Sadly I had hoped this was about Frank Bridge and was very excited when I thought that BBC4 would be doing a season on his works !

The Musketeers are back on BBC 1 tomorrow, no scandi noir there! Hooray!

Great locations, good script, excellent sound, fun acting, wonderful locations -- so get stuck in !

I've always found it a bit... silly. I was at the theatre yesterday seeing WS's King John, and one of the Musketeers, Howard Charles, was very good as The Bastard

(Athough a 14 year old - who's in Game of Thrones - playing Prince Arthur stole the show from all the adults)

Good news: the fourth and final season of The Bridge is coming (date tba) - on BBC2 this time http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/lat...017/the-bridge

Weird news: if this story had featured in any of our favourite Scandi-series, I suspect it would have been pilloried as stretching the bounds of credibility.... https://www.standard.co.uk/news/worl...-a3741351.html

And "Negligent manslaughter" - is there a non-negligent kind? Seems they're watching too much Silent Witness for their lifestyle plotlines nowadays in Scandiland. Like charity, escapism should begin at home.
