I refer our well versed friend Gordon to this old English folk song.
(its OK gongers, I know its the beatles, and a song, but at least macca didn't write it !!)I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I Digress i know from BBC 4. thought it might be worth pointing out to Friends/Colleagues on the forum that having picked up my Radio Times Christmas edition earlier, I see Radio 3 are replaying a lot of this years Proms, including that unforgettable ring cycle for two weeks over the festive period

The new multiplex from Crystal Palace transmitter is on lower power than the other multiplexes.
Try a manual tune on UHF channel 33 (570MHz), setting the mode to DVB-T2 rather than DVB-T, if there is such a setting. Having entered the channel number/frequency, wait and see if it gives any indication of strength and quality.
Not bothered with television at the moment. Might try tomorrow night, then maybe I can get Friday's concerto broadcast via HD, though I think the original in standard definition.

SKY getting desperate?
just had them phone up and offer 12 months any package at 75% discount, discontinue any time with 30 days notice, and including skygo.
Took the offer up.
Hope skyarts has perked up a bit !!I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

Actually, my sitting room is only 12' x 15' (gosh, how the poor live!) so 54" of HD would have me cowering in the doorway, too frightened to enter
I honestly cannot see what all you geeks are getting excited about. It's all repeats over Christmas or a typically lame Downton Abbey. The only thing I am excited about is the new Sherlock on NY day, and I'll miss it, being in deepest Lancs, where By 'Eck Gladys, that Sherlock, well I'll go to foot of my stairs if he ain't, him and Watson, a reet pair of ..... Well, you get the drift! Basically, I embrace non-technology!

I DO have a great long cable that I can plug into the stereo to pump up the volume for proms and such like, but thats about it.
Although my VHS is still runnning good, AND getting the odd run out.
I think we should do a " films you love at Xmas thread".
