    The Light Fantastic

Anyone else visit the Lumiere Festival at Durham?

I thought it excellent - but not as good as 2011. Anyone in the vicinity of Derry-Londonderry between 28 November and 1 December will be able to catch it.

Perhaps it will be in Hull in 2017...

Outrage! I will ask our (elected) Mayor why we have no such event in Brigstowe.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Two stars, perhaps three for the Derry-Londonderry Lumiere from Rachel Cooke in the Observer.
