I think there is mention of Max Miller on the Kenneth Horne thread but I thought I'd start a separate one for this two-part TV programme about the great man.
I think he's remarkable because he's so modern. He used to pitch everything in his schtick at 'the ladies' in the audience and let the men catch up.He was near-the-knuckle for his era and even now there is an air of naughtiness about his act but mostly it's ribaldry rather than aggressive smut. He dressed in an outlandish way to create almost a Pierrot-type persona but there was also something quite feminine about him but not necessarily effeminate. I love him!![biggrin](https://www.for3.org/forums/core/images/smilies/f_biggrin.gif)
So here he is ... Max Miller, the Cheeky Chappy - "There'll never be another, lady"
