Anybody fancy a thread on 'the Village'....I have loads of opinions why that is a poor piece of drama....that promised so much.....

8thOb, I've been watching. After first episode I nearly didn't but I'm sticking with it, however I imagine not many people here are but I'd welcome your opinions. We didn't make it through the first episode. Beyond grim - and that was just John Simm's table manners. Wife having to entice husband upstairs to distract him from beating the boy just too horrible, came over all squeamish.Comment

Viewed on that level, rather than a joined up story, I think it's panning out quite well.
(Isn't it set in Derbyshire, East Midlands where wheat growing is possible?)Comment
