A change in name, but not in substance, judging by the odd glance at their schedule should my Radio Times fall open at the "Sky" page..."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

"The channel rebrand comes off the back of André Rieu’s most successful year ever. He won a Classic Brit Award for his album And The Waltz Goes On and performed a record-breaking 30 sold-out concerts in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He reached the number one position in Pollstar’s Box Office Chart of highest-grossing tours, outselling the likes of Lady Gaga, Bruce Springsteen, Radiohead, Coldplay, Celine Dion and Pearl Jam.
With his natural charisma and the help of The Johann Strauss Orchestra, André creates a colourful and celebratory atmosphere at each of his concerts..."
And until today I had never even heard of him!

Actually, I think the danger of this kind of answer to the Beethoven Experience - clearing the schedules - is that it tells millions of people that this is what 'classical music' is all about - so how come R3 is so boring ...? It plays the wrong kind of stuff.
Incidentally, are there signs that R3 is buying in to the opinion that all 'orchestral music' = classical music? It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
