    The Killing III

Eyes down for 10 episodes of good dark crime drama, the last of the Killing trilogy.

The first two episodes shown one after the other starting at 9pm today on BBC4 and BBChd

    Unmissable, I'd have thought !
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Seconded, with pleasure Caliban. I shall also be glued!

Glued also, I shall be! I hadn't realised it started today. Anyone know if there is to be another pairing of Saga and Martin in a follow up to The Bridge?

        No idea... Hope so.

Glad I tipped you off Anna.

Lovely Welsh word order in that first sentence, too

I've seen the previous two series. Diminishing returns, I thought. Series One - the dragged out political intrigue plot twisting this way and that grew very tiresome. Series Two - less political intrigue but just too many plot holes to be truly satisfying. I shall perhaps be avoiding this one when it appears on DVD.

Not heard of them, but as I'm at home, just faffing about in the kitchen, I've now switched over from R3 to listen.

Lady Gould informs me the lass has a new jumper - at 280 Euros an ideal Christmas present for Anna I would have said Caliban!

Interesting, Throps. I agree that the second series was less good (I think that's what you're saying) but I really thought series one was great, masterly storytelling and yarn-spinning, some great performances and terrific atmos. The fact that the third one has only 10 episodes like the second is a slight concern - the lengthy time frame of series one allowed it to play out over a more satisfying time-span, for me...

easy payments available, do you think?

                              Hello there,

I hope that devotees have their expectations met. Admittedly I've yet to see Killing II . As for series 1 the actor who stole the show for me was Bjarne Henriksen who played Nanna's dad. Big powerful build - yet quiet, understated, where a look, a silence could have a mighty impact. "Every glance a poem...every sigh a novel..."

                              Best Wishes,

                              Tevot
