Oh, now that was a good programme, with my all-time favourite villain, "Surface agent X 2 zero".

Well, I have now caught up. No spoilers for those who haven't (Anna?), but a great cliffhanger to end on. I did wonder about not watching till it was all available, but ten hours is rather too long for that.

I watched the latest two episodes back to back tonight. Well, it's great drama. I've no idea how it ends, but I have a horrible feeling that somehow it won't end well for Sarah's 'daughter in law'.

Interesting point - like the ensign in the different colour uniform assigned to the 'Away Team' in Star Trek - you just know their name's on a burst of phaser fire.

Another possibility is that Lund will have to sacrifice herself in some way to save her son.

Now I see how Clegg chose Cameron over Brown as a coalition partner.

                      TAK! for det mental image

Eps. 7 & 8 not quite up there, I thought - perp allowed to escape again, more red herrings, extra car numberplates suddenly discovered... Still a great watch but looking forward to the dénouement now...
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

That's how I feel, we know there'll be tears before bedtime but let's get it over and done with in the knowledge that this is the final series .... and, dare I say it, not quite up there with the last one? And, I do hope (offtopic) Saga and Martin come back to our screens.

Yes, 'The Bridge' season two has been filming in October and November - likely to be aired next Autumn

Meanwhile the next Scandi-fix is in the New Year on BBC4 - Borgen season 2

I have a feeling the little girl is on The Medea. Which of course means she isn't.

i find it mesmerising only Homeland comes near or betters it ...

yep red herrings aplenty but perhaps not as many as series 1 which had oodles of poltico back and forth

i find the acting of Lund in this series to be exceptional, i have not seen the hell of shy introversion and emotional panic so subtly yet emphatically portrayed as Sofie Gråbøl gives us .. a great performance this time imho ...ahem etc ...

As soon as she is on screen I find myself struggling to read the subtitles and instead I want watch what she's doing. Off she heads down some dark stair or corridor or outhouse, revolver and torch in tandem, and you internally scream, 'No Lund! Not that! It's a trap!' Top performance.
