Oh yes, silly me- amongst others, he played one of my favourite characters, the disaster prone vet, Dr.Chinnery (" I'm afraid I've got some rather upsetting news...." )

I think it's time I gave the DVDs another look!!

I thought this was a thread about tonight's BBC4 " The Birth of British Music " - I had hoped we had seen the back of Hazlewood and his flowery shirts and deadly dreary conducting . I cannot for the life of me see why someone whose conducting is so second rate gets so much TV airtime .

This has been pedestrian stuff and almost makes one long for "Symphony" .
