I started reading this in May (my second attempt) and am now approaching the near-halfway mark (beginning of The Guermantes Way). It has taken me a while to get into it, but I'm starting to enjoy it. Hopefully, I'll finish it this time!
The book seems to shift up a gear when Baron Charlus is involved: Proust obviously found this character very stimulating.
Any opinions on the book? Or on Pinter's screenplay (which I can recall being broadcat on R3 some time ago, before it was staged at the NT)?
