Our local surgery had a Doctor who is dead spit of Jeremy Irons, and he played upon it with his (he supposed) susceptible female patients. I went to see him once and he took my blood pressure, it was slightly raised and he said 'Oh, I expect it's because you are seeing me, it often happens'

I too find Irons a bit of a trial. I wonder why they couldn't have continued with Rory Kinnear as the king, and used the same actors as in RII for Northumberland and Scrope.

The digital programme guide is now showing a 21:15 start... they're putting it back.

It's apparently been postponed so they can do the Ladies Doubles' Final.

I've only just found out that it appears to have started on BBC2 and BBC HD at 2200, with the tennis moved to BBC1. As they'd previously said they were unable to bring it to us tonight, I watched something else and so missed the start.

Dunno guv - I guess it depends on whether your PVR can read the mind of programme schedulers. I foolishly took John Inverdale's word for it when he said they couldn't bring it to us tonight and watched something else that didn't finish until just before 2230.
It looks as though it will be available on the iPlayer for 4 weeks, seeing as Richard III is currently shown as being available for a further 3.

Our preset DVD recorder started recording at exactly the time the play actually started.

This is a great improvement on what the old videorecorder could manage.

At the close of tonight's delayed screening of "Henry IV, Pt 1, we were told that there will be a repeat transmission at 21.00 hrs, (tonight, Sunday, 8 July) on BBC 4. in place of "Amadeus:Director's Cut". This, presumably, will also allow time for Jeremy Irons on the Henrys to follow the main feature, as it did tonight on BBC 2.
