Did you feel the same about 'Line of Duty'?
... I think we've had all six so far on BBC -

As for Line of Duty, yes I gave up on the final series -

        I blame Wagner.

I missed season 2 of the Ring, the one that begins with Wotan waking up and saying to Fricka "I just had this weird dream, well I guess it was a nightmare really. I guess I was just anxious about our housemoving plans - I think maybe we should wait until we've saved up a bit more."

I think Wotan may have influenced that tv recap trend of 'In last week's episode...'!

According to a trailer I've seen, Spiral will return on Saturday 12 October.

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Thanks very much. I've yet to *see* a trailer.

Excellent, fast-paced start to Series 7. Quite comforting to see the old gang together again - not without their baggage, though!

'Baggage'? Blimey, a whole Pickford's removal van of it.
An with so many on the edge of collapse, banishment, crack-up, retirement, are the makers signalling from the very first title sequence that this is the last 'Spiral'?

... I think they have said it will be the final series.

Lordy, but this was so good. Marvellous to have them back, looking rougher and bleaker than ever.
I suspect Herville's killing will prove to be something much deeper and more complicated than just part of a mangled hold-up. Who was he meeting? I bet there will be police/political corruption somewhere underneath.

The magnificent Roban seems to have got his health back - will he be able to get things tied up before he's forced into retirement?

                          I still miss Tintin...

The actors are all looking older as well as 'rougher and bleaker'...

The time frame seems compressed: Laure's baby is six months old and in that time Roban has had his (brain?) surgery and recovered!

Yes, serious corruption shenanigans are IMV likely to be revealed....
