Thanks for that Caliban, I can't believe she would be 100. She was always laughing and talking at rehearsals when I saw her and seemed so full of life. Good memories, she loved jokes and fun.Comment

I have to make an admission. Was going to mention this earlier, and it's occurred to me again having heard the Ferrier recordings on CD Review this morning.
I don't like listening to her!
I'm sure she was a wonderful person, and a great communicator live, and it's a tragic tale...
... but I can NOT get past that hooty, matronly tone.
