I must say, I like the 'period' poster they've produced to trail the series:

The Austin or Morris 1100 was only a uniform patrol vehicle. Hot pursuit in those days was done by the likes of the Rover or Triumph 2000 or 3500, as I recall - followed in the mid-1970s by the Ford Granada - I actually got to drive one in the winter of 1978- 1979, when a member of the South-East Regional Crime Squad turned up at the RSPB nature reserve where I was working at the time for a spot of R&R from chasing villains and shared the derelict caravan where I was living on the reserve. He lent me his car to drive to my aunt's house a few miles away for my weekly bath and hot meal, with the simple instruction "Don't bend it"Originally posted by anotherbob View Post
