Simply self-indulgent, style-over-substance rubbish.

It was back to some of the lows of the series, unfortunately, imvvho.

I thought it was great - really funny - the running joke about Mrs Hudson was terrific. I will say no more for fear of giving away any plot stuff...but I will say that Andrew Scott continues to show himself one of the finest actors around.

Oh dear. It annoyed me and others in this 'ouse.

Also, Andrew S has always been imvvvvvho a serious weak link in this Holmes re-boot, for me - but it's about casting, not necessarily him. He's in the latest 007 film and is ideally cast.

Totally agree, really, really funny, fast paced and the best television programme I've seen over the festive break. In fact I enjoyed it so much I watched it again the next day and liked it even more! (Just goes to show there's no accounting for taste ......)

There you go Cal - couldn't agree less. I think he's been a stand-out throughout. In fact if I'd known he was in the Bond film it might have spurred me on to go see it since I seem to have been one of the few who found 'Skyfall' a dreary bore (especially the second half). Scott was also in 'Pride', a film I loved, where he played a beautifully understated part, but I thought it grabbed the camera every time it came near him. As Anna says, 'No accounting for taste'.

A teenage word which is going the rounds is Superwholocks meaning 'people addicted to watching past episodes of Supernatural, Dr Who and Sherlock'. Anyone heard this? Or is it a load of ............
