I enjoyed Hitchens recycling the classic joke where a man is pulled out of his vehicle in Northern Ireland by the IRA, and a gun is pointed at his head. The gunman asks "Are you Catholic or Protestant?" The man replies "I'm a Jewish atheist actually." The gunman hesitates for a second and then asks: 'Are you Protestant Jewish atheist or Catholic Jewish atheist?"

It was an interesting debate, but TB did seem to get into a few tight corners, especially when he cited Northern Ireland, but he's incredibly skilled in arguing his way out - a kind of conversational Houdini.
