National Theatre Live

These NTL streamings are great (watched Life of Pi tonight) BUT it is misleading (deliberately so?) to call them 'Live'. They are films of a live performance, so they say, which isn't the same. (Bit like Choral Evensong, many of which are recorded these days.) For whatever reason, it doesn't have the same anticipatory feeling of watching something as it happens.

Aagh - didn't know that was on. My local cinema doesn't seem to think it worth producing a combined flyer for all the "live" performance events :(
