Revealing, perhaps, that the above seems to be the only mention of 'Lady of Heaven' on here (apologies if my search efforts have overlooked any others). Maybe followers of the arts are inured to this, or merely prefer to look the other way. Three decades after the Rushdie saga, our response remains the same. More appeasement. This won't end well.

....I live close to Bradford - it is an interesting place and full of ambiguities then and now....but would the Blasphemies still cause uproar, still cause mistrust, still be misunderstood....
....When I first moved to Bradford area in late 80's (when funding for Arts was quite good, and youth u/e was high and YOP's allowed Circus Skills to be a pathway) for about 10 years the Bradford Mela took place (Theatre/Music/Circus skills, all sorts and in curated venues) ....t'was fantastic especially for children and young families/families....Bradford has character in many way....come and see the Victorian Mills before they are burned down in Insurance scams....or made into Cannabis farmsbong ching

I found it more than disappointing, your anti-Islamic knee-jerk response to Study Session; the sort of crudely blurted out reaction one would expect from any right-wing rag. I wonder what reaction someone might have on this forum if they openly tied Judaism and Jewish people in general to the actions of Israel.
