      He may or may not have 'written badly' but he had things to say which may have got in the way of his creative fiction rather than becoming integrated into it. At the time I enjoyed The Masters, The New Men and The Conscience of the Rich.
      It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
