    Sister Wendy

There was a tribute to Sister Wendy on Last Word (BBC Radio 4)

What we all loved was the apparently demure nun describing all the saucy bits of the Great Masters. Apparently her programmes were unscripted.
    Wonderful.

Really enjoyed her TV shows, and learned a lot from her.

More proof if any was needed that there are no barriers to enjoying Art.

I enjoyed her enthusiasm, the way she shared this enthusiasm, and her sense of mischief ("demur"?!) - that way she relished saying "testicles" with that sparkle in her eye that just said "now, admit it; you weren't expecting me to discuss that, were you?".

Yes indeed - she was a gentle transubstantor of expectations!
