          They showed him expecting the Doctor's current companion to clean the TARDIS and prepare coffee, and depicted him as being shocked by her lesbianism. The First Doctor was not especially sexist (the 2nd and 3rd Doctors were actually much worse in that respect) and never gave his opinions on human sexuality. Nor, I believe, did Hartnell but the programme-makers seems to be extrapolating a range of reactionary opinions from him based on his much-vaunted 'old-fashioned attitude to race.' Not really on!
