Last night's episode left me with a feeling I'm increasingly getting from TV dramas these days: one of couldn't really give a damn what happens to any of the characters, in what is turning out to be a pretty dismal portrayal of supposedly intelligent but self-destructive human beings. Could this be a right-wing plot?
I shall only be watching tonight because it is the final episode.
That, plus some pretty shots of Cambridge..."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Well at least the motion to request Brexit delay, presumably till 30 June, was passed by 412 to 202...
For this relief much thanks...
There is an enjoyable hubris given that the uncompromising fanaticism of the ERG and other hardliners have "given back control" to the EU to some extent.... even now, Farage and other serpents are in Brussels trying to persuade various EU governments to block any extension....
(I do love watching John Bercow roaring things out... he gives good box-office, doesn't he..?)

Have now just about caught all of 'Fleabag' season 1 and well worth it it was, as far as I'm concerned. Season 2 Episode 2 was just excellent TV. Wonderful performances throughout and terrific filming and writing. Starting to rival 'Detectorists' in my book, and that is praise of my highest order.
