It's grim for us up North.

Yes, the relationships are a bit confusing, but our overriding thought was how grim it is down south.

....well....I've just binged Sherwood....possibly should have been called Duhwood....
....the police 'procedurals' were silly indeed ....the very idea that that helicoper didn't just turn on it's infra red/ heat seeking camera to locate folk.... and the Crime Family Von Sparrow a low budget scenario with the gumption and viciousness of a teas-made...."'Ere she gave me a rotten dirty look"
....Last 2 episodes Codswallop indeed....especially with all those redemption blaa themes - lessons learned /lessons not learned....dialogue writer looking for red meat and coming up with scrag end....The psychopath was wasted on this production and should more likely have appeared in a 90's version of Frost....in fact there you have it, if this budget had been given to Frost just think ....it could have been the UKs Wire....<irony, sarcasm, bathos, pathos, ha ha ha>Last edited by eighthobstruction; 29-06-22, 15:47.bong ching

Too many characters, and poorly differentiated, I thought, in Sherwood: I continued to the end having difficulty recognising who belonged with which family. (Possily a reflection on my attention, but I think also down to the playwright.) The crossbow-wielding lad became a damp squib in the end - the writer's intention was to dramatise social rifts in the village, as reflected by indidviduals, diminishing the significance of the murders.
***, I think.

I've been enjoying 'Everything I Know About Love' on the Beeb...has a slight vibe of 'It's a Sin'....but I've laughed a lot in the first couple of episodes. It will probably be downhill from here mind you.

- whether or not I agree, I did enjoy that 8tho !
The cast continued to impress me, not least Robert Glenister (“Kevin Salisbury”) - whose power and versatility is simultaneously on display in the Radio 4extra re-run of Dombey & Son:
Listen without limits, with BBC Sounds. Catch the latest music tracks, discover binge-worthy podcasts, or listen to radio shows – all whenever you want
Difficult to believe that the imperious Dombey is played by the same chap as the dodgy Met copper with a heart of gold. Top stuff imvho."...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."
