M6 Jct 37. Town is about 6 miles along, and the view of the Howgills as you top the rise to drop down to it is spectacular.
    Good eating, great walking.

Tasmin Little and Martin Roscoe Thursday June 7th
    Fistful of Spookies June 8th
Levens Choir in Parry prog June 9th

All in St Andrew's church, dead centre of town.

    More news next week.

Indeed - I used to visit regularly (coming from Grassington, through Hawes, then back by Kirby Lonsdale, Ingleton, & Settle): haven't done that trip in over a decade!

I was just wondering if you missed out the name of the town because you thought that "Cumbria" would be a better guide for Forumistas?

        It's south of Jedburgh.

I believe some of the citizens remain aggrieved to be no longer part of the West Riding (of Yorkshire): or maybe they still are.

Wednesday 8 p.m.: Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.
Medieval instruments, dance and song, full narratoin of the Arthurian tale of weird and wonderful happenings in Logres.

Sedbergh, Cumbria - handful of miles off M6 at Jct 37. St Andrew's Church, bang in the centre of town.
