Indeed - I used to visit regularly (coming from Grassington, through Hawes, then back by Kirby Lonsdale, Ingleton, & Settle): haven't done that trip in over a decade!

I was just wondering if you missed out the name of the town because you thought that "Cumbria" would be a better guide for Forumistas?

Well, perhaps - but I'd be genuinely interested to hear how many Forumistas knew where Sedburgh is.

It's south of Jedburgh.

I believe some of the citizens remain aggrieved to be no longer part of the West Riding (of Yorkshire): or maybe they still are.
