    Music Festival in Cumbria

https://www.sedbergh.org.uk/musicfestival/ with more details of everything.

But picking through, looks like a terrific list:
    Red Priest
    Tasmin Little and Martin Roscoe
    A Fistful of Spookies
    Sarah Beth Briggs
    +
    Chet's young musicians
Joe Davies plays Bach cello Suite No 2
Cornucopia do multimedia / medieval music for a Sir Gawain and the Green Knight evening
Castalia String Qt do Schubert Death and the Maiden
    Mabon Celtic Folk Band

..and lots more lunchtime and evening gigs.

The link doesn't seem to be working at present, though apparently it's only a temporary glitch.

Is that an image of Thomas Verity I see there with his clarinet?

Sedbergh Festival has Red Priest on Tues 5th, and Tasmin Little and Martin Roscoe on June 7th.
          Looks like quite a week.
Lovely walking country too, so much to love!

The larger event in Cumbria is LDSM (Lake District Summer Music):

Yes - Stile Antico used to be regulars at that one. And I've seen Ex Cathedra there too.

But not this year, I think.

Luckily these two fine events do not clash - one in early June the other in July/Aug.
Such is the musical feast in the county!!

                  Hello DracoM,

I'll certainly be attending a couple of recitals at LDSM. The Sedbergh festival is rather further to travel for me.

Red Priest live in St Andrew's Church, Sedbergh tomorrow, June 5th @ 7.30 p.m.

Crikey! They were sensational! Stunned audience!

It's a somewhat selective interpretation of 'Cumbria'. Sigh.

Well, perhaps - but I'd be genuinely interested to hear how many Forumistas knew where Sedburgh is.

Been there many times - usually as a base for walking in the Howgill Fells to the north.
