It did occur to me that maybe there some misguided attempt not to show favouritism in the judging room as there was a specialist double-bass judge, a specialist violin judge and a specialist guitar judge - the only instrument not represented by an active professional player was the winning cello.

What a surprise.
Oh... and: chair of jury - "award-winning performer, composer and writer… Kerry Andrew"... Anyone heard of her?"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Oh.
There was supposed to be an image of Paddington's "hard stare!" at the end of that post.
What's happened to copying images from Google? It used to be easy-peasy!
Oh!! Now it's showing via the link - but not just the image, the entire pageNumquam Satis!

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
