Music on TV Aaaarrrggghhhh!

I know this has been discussed before, but surely the output of music on TV (and I don't mean Pop) has shrunk to...nothing?
Would it be too much to ask or expect our National Broadcaster the BBC to devote at least one programme a week to 'classical' music? Maybe on BBC4 on a Friday? Or even at an unsocial hour so we can watch it on i-Player?

I think even France has more music on TV than we do. Maybe M. Macron could lend us some along with the Bayeux Tapisserie?

A programme called 'Sounds Like Friday Night' had a 6-week run in the autumn of 2017 and will return in April.

You mean apart from those endless TOTP runs on BBC4? Often seem to be from the 80s, my true pop decade (despite being a 7-year-old Fluff Freeman fan in the early 60s)... but the thrill of seeing those Wham and Culture Club and Spandau and Duran clips 20 years on wore off some time ago.....

There's always Jools of course, he does at least try to keep up with the latest pop flames...

No.... I just think it's admirable that he seeks out the latest artists, from contemporary pop to postpunk to crossover to jazz or jazz-influenced musicians...
