    It said on the door,
    'Don't spit on the floor',
So he stood up and spat on the ceiling.

There's a guy that we call Uncle Bernie
Whose baton has made a long journey,
And it seems on these boards
    Everyone him applauds
In particular Pet, Alison and Ferney.

How pleasant to join in the Forum
      Where everyone's full of decorum
      With bright, friendly posts
      (And ditto, the Hosts)
On presenters, and how we deplore 'em.

" Earth Dances" by Harry Birtwistle
Moved me to write a forum epistle.
        If Brahms and that
        Don't get 'em to chat,
Then I'll have to be hopeful that this'll.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.

I am not a number, I am a free man.

There once was a person called presenter
          who acted as my mentor,
          alas, the times have changed,
          the new one is deranged,
          so why this new tormentor?
My life, each morning when I dress, is four and twenty hours less. (J Richardson)

            The chap who composed Pulcinella
            Was simply one helluva feller.
            He pinched Pergolesi
            And then he went crazy
And wrote what became a best seller.

                  Love the original creations here

Can't claim author's rights on this but it's one of my favourites, and relevant/nostalgic:

The critics' acclaim for Joyce Hatto
                  Had reached an impossible plateau:
                  Her falling from grace
                  Was quite clearly a case
Of her spouse over-egging the gateau.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                  Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

They've got to scan right, though! Honestly: you'd think people who write so perceptively here on matters musical would have a basic sense of rhythm!

I think it scans fine, what's the problem S_A?

                          Serial doesn't do polyrhythms...

My ears they are a hurtin'
'Cos Three's output continues to worsen
KD, Suzy and Sean are all bad
Their inane prattle drives me mad
As for Clemmie, the station's gone for a Burton
