No, he's just one of the musical giants I lived through without realising they were geniuses. One or two songs were good for strumming, though I won't claim my singing was as good as Bob's. And I don't begrudge him

It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.

Oops - I meant to post it on the Reminiscences of another culture. Please intervene!

I hope these quotes aren't being cited a examples of someone's visionary genius.

They're better sung - in context - intended purely as prompts

Not in the least, well I cannot speak for others, I just like Bob and I like the way he strings words together and sings them, and to me they don't always have to make sense but usually tell a story of some kind.

I've been listening to 'Bringing it All Back Home' over the last few days in the motor and somehow 'Bob Dylan's 115th Dream' has so much in common with Bob's Nobel Speech, in delivery and in content, and enjoyment. It's sort of Poetry in motion for me, I suppose.

Excellent review of the speech by Ben MacIntyre in today's Times
It is a lesson in how to read, hear and absorb art
