Alas, now partly in the past tense, but due to be recorded, a splendid day for movie buffs starting with Katharine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers in Stage Door (1937), based on a successful Broadway play of the 30s - Hepburn a real stylist! - followed by Lucky Jim, (1954), Kingsley Amis's novel with Ian Carmichael and Terry Thomas at their best. John Hurt can be seen in extracts from his films on Talking Pictures at 13,00hrs; the 1999 version of An Ideal Husband follows at 13.30hrs, well cast, and, later at 21.00hrs, Testament of Youth (2014), a biographical drama based on the memoirs of Vera Brittain, a 'must' for me. The first two titles already on HD, I'll stay the course!
