    Interesting programme - thank you.

    Warhol gets most of the attention which is a pity when Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein etc and perhaps especially Hamilton deserve credit too.

      But I have never really thought of Rauschenberg as a 'pop artist' in the sense thst the others were.

        Nor I, though he was often seen as a precursor of that movement. There was much more of latter day Dada about his work, surely?

          Yes, and he's much more accurately described as a 'pioneer' of conceptual art.
