Centre for Policy Studies report on the BBC

Not sure if this is the right place for this post but if it isn't, please say where it should go. Thank you!

The Centre for Policy Studies, a "right-wing think tank" (aka a bunch of riight-wing neoliberal loonies) has just publised a report on the BBC, recommending scrapping the licence fee because the BBC is in competition with the greedy morons who run the Murdoch empire, etc, and we can't have that, can we?

Anyway, the relevant part here is that, to save money, they suggest scrapping a whole range of things, notably the BBC's support for "Orchestras and other arts bodies," which they say would save £33 million. That would mean the end of the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales and various other groups. What vandalism, what stupidity, whatwhat a hideous, steaming pile of sh1te! Really, these idiots can't be taken seriously - except that, with the current government you can't rule anything out.

    Utterly depressing!

There isn't a 'right place' as politics are a banned subject except at the discretion of the Administration. As these suggestions concern the BBC and the arts they might have been relevant, but as is seems - from your description - unlikely that they'll be considered I'm not inclined to make an exception. But people can check your link and decide for themselves.
It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
