I know a lot of people on here used to be on the other BBC messageboards. Now that the Points of View m'board has been shut down, are there any other forums etc. which are being favoured?
Replacement for BBC Messageboards?

I found a 'Mustardland' forum which appears to be flourishing. This seems to be the R4 equivalent of here. Digitalspy has a general radio board. All these seem to be currently pretty active, though, of course, the whole point of the BBC boards was that they 'seemed' to be a way of getting through to the BBC (and the POV board was).
Radio 2 board (run, if I'm not mistaken, by one of our own members) - but my impression is that even that doesn't seem to be as busy as we are here.
None of them is really the equivalent of POV (slightly surprised to hear it has lasted so long). It's all a bit 'Divide and Rule' as far as the BBC's concerned. Given that the messageboards were intended to link the BBC with its listeners, it would be interesting to ask them how that happens now. Facebook? Even the BBC blogs don't seem all that busy, certainly as far as comments from the public are concerned. It isn't given us to know those rare moments when people are wide open and the lightest touch can wither or heal. A moment too late and we can never reach them any more in this world.
