Just caught wildlife photographer Gordon Buchanan's programme about the Waorani people of the Ecuadorian Amazon, their survival inextricably linked with the area's greatest predator the Anaconda. One of the most interesting and thought provoking documentaries I've seen in many a long year.

The programme about the tribe living next to the Anaconda was one of my TV highlights of last year. There's been a new season of 'Tribes, Predators and Me' with Gordon Buchanan over the last few weeks. The programme from the Solomon Islands was very good, but I completely loved the documentary of Buchanan learning how to hunt with golden eagles with the Kazachs of Mongolia...Stunning, I thought.
