I hesitate to say this in the presence of the quality ladies'n'gemmun on this 'ere Forum, but I've found and continue to find SPIN compulsive viewing.
Yes it's little more than 'airport fiction for TV' and is arguably misogynistic (all the main women are pathetic, but then all the main men are vile (save the lead, perhaps, 'Kapita'), so it's dishonours more-or-less even). But the first series and now the second have kept me watching. I especially like the loathsome right-wing leader 'Deleuvre' played with skin-crawling patrician pomposity by Philippe Magnan (even the character's name suggests something slimy and invertebrate http://www.dinosoria.com/pieuvre.htm )
It doesn't irritate me, but I do see Anna's point (although it doesn't put me off):
