I liked him: a great voice and an endearingly pedantic manner.
Significantly, a lot of stupid people seemed to hate him.
He genuinely didn't seem to give a toss how he was perceived by others: that was probably his great strength.Comment

Given Sorabji's longstanding friendship with Philip Heseltine, I fear that I can throw no light on this, as I have no idea what if anything Sorabji thought about Brian Sewell or even whether he knew that BS was PH's son; that said, KS loved PH greatly and was devastated to learn of his death in 1930...Last edited by ahinton; 21-09-15, 20:32.Comment
