    James Horner RIP

This leading film composer, beloved of R3's Saturday afternoon schedulers, has sadly been killed while out piloting his own light aircraft in a remote part of California.

The list of films which he scored speaks for itself: Titanic, Aliens, Apollo 13, Field Of Dreams, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind, House Of Sand and Fog, Avatar...

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

James Horner was closely involved with the Bremont Horsemen (from about 49:00 onwards):

He must have had quite a chuckle when he received two Oscars for the same tune.

A tragic accident, and he had much more to offer.
