If it's a positive outcome, there'll be an enormous queue.

Do you think I got the promo for being such a dedicated R3 listener?

Edit: Oh, of course RT is weekly, not monthly!

It left a surpringly satisfying booklet. Just remove most of the middle pages, leaving the staples attached to the outer dozen or so. The result was a radio booklet, complete with original cover.
Like Anna, I usaually just buy the Christmas double RT now; but, due to the snow, I could not get out to buy it last year and I did not miss it.

Do you know, I've never thought of that. And only last week I put my back out lifting my copy of Radio Times from the coffee table.

I buy it mainly for the puzzles at the back. And for the articles on Doctor Who.

I had one in the post today as well. I subscribe to BBC Music Mag so assumed they got my name from there. I can confirm that Anna has the correct details.

That sounds straight out of Round the Horne - many's the "Julian & Sandy" sketch that began with Kenneth Horne saying something like:

"I was leafing through my copy of 'Peek-a-Boo Corsets Pictorial'... I buy it mainly for the Spot-the-Ball competition...."

"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
                      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

I used to love Round the Horne listening illicitly on my transistor radio circa 1967. Have you seen the ludicrous price on offer at Amazon for the complete set?

Ludicrously cheap or luidicrously expensive? If the latter, why not record it off Radio 4 Extra, where it seems to be on some sort of continuous loop. They must have repeated the whole lot at least 4 times already.

                            Horrifyingly expensive, indeed....

The Julian & Sandy sketches culled from the programmes are collected in two much better-value sets:

They are particularly good on long car trips!

There's a fair bit of Jules and Sand on You Tube, not a video of course, but the broadcasts, like this one, the Bona Bookshop
