Above all don't be drawn into the myth of perfectibility on any political argument. Everything - everything - ends up with a trade-off, a compromise...
If the BBC compromises too much now, that's because of the hostile governmental pressure....
Don't give them any more assistance in their obvious aims. Look at the USA, for God's sake....
