IMO the Guardian tends to over cover , to its detriment, certain books and publishers. *

Excellent article. Keep fighting for a truly independent BBC, especially the News Service. Don't let the lies and deceits and rhetoric of the current government, or your own political prejudices, convince you that it has no future.

Above all don't be drawn into the myth of perfectibility on any political argument. Everything - everything - ends up with a trade-off, a compromise...
If the BBC compromises too much now, that's because of the hostile governmental pressure....

Don't give them any more assistance in their obvious aims. Look at the USA, for God's sake....

....unfortunately I did end my letter to my MP this week ref Free School Meals....with "get stuffed"....so may give it a couple of weeks before I once again extol him to support BBC....
