    EuroCrime TV Drama series announced

Hope this is (a) good; and (b) not consigned to Sky.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
    Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Looks promising - and I don't know if SKY is a "contributor" to the EBU; the Beeb is.

Sky is not a contributor, you won't see any Eurovision broadcast on any of the commerial stations.

          Wot ..no Montalbano?!?!

          Very Northern European-centric.

"The European Union's broadcasting organisation has launched a new "cross border" television crime drama designed to "bring together" a divided continent."

That would seem to be a) ambitious b) desperate and c) unlikely to succeed.

""This exciting new crime series shows that television, like the Eurovision Song Contest, can help bring Europeans together."

Well that's unlikely until they include San Marino, Bosnia Herzogovina or indeed Azerbaijan.

Yes when I re-read and saw the Song Contest reference, my heart sank.

Still, can't be worse than Montalbano...

(Young Montalbano was a diffferent matter... Has there been a second series of that?)

I see the plot is the murders of three young women in different countries, well, as ferney said in a different thread, we're a bit cheesed off with young women being the victims in so many crime dramas as an excuse for gratuitous violence.
