The range of channels is unrivalled and includes the two Arts Channels, Sky Atlantic and most of the channels available elsewhere - all through an efficient and reliable broadcasting system. It's time for us all to accept that Sky is central to television (and radio) in the UK and beyond.
actually, that applies to the BBC too. ( which you HAVE to pay for in addition to a SKY subscription, in order to watch SKY or other pay TV).
If you are canny you can get SKY for well under the published prices, which helps the conscience just a tad. As I said above I have never paid more than half price, although there have been spells where I didn't get a discounted deal and just live without it
interesting breakdown of subscription habits, which I think shows that the majority of households pay for TV over and above the licence fee,
and an interesting survey among readers of Ethical consumer magazine about the least ethical companies, where media companies fail to register....
