They lost it after TLLDOB, although TOTT had its moments.

I suppose this would be the wrong place, and it would be churlish to say that " Follow you Follow me" is one of my least favourite pieces of music ever , of all time ?


But one or two of the later singles kind of vaguely made up for it. A little bit.

Yes, agreed there, Rob but towards the end their albums were rather mediocre.

They sort of got dragged down by Collins' solo work ethic in the early 80s, inspired mostly by his divorce. 'Duke' already featured some of his heartbroken outpourings (Please Don't Ask, Misunderstanding..). After that they seemd hell-bent on re-inventing themselves as a 'pop' band.
