Sneaking in by one year, Jerome K Jerome's scandalously neglected sequel to Three Men on A Boat, Three Men on the Bummel. The comic adventures arising out of the German Phrase Book and the attempts to get kitted out at a Boot Shop - to name but two episodes- are the equal in mirth of anything in the earlier tale.
